In 2nd April, more than 30 young enterprisers from the Beijing Central Enterprises, organized by the Special Tour Department of China Travel Service, Sichuan, drove the Touareg and made an observation along the Sichuan-Tibet Road for 10 days, donating money and sending Touaregs to support Tibet.
Volkswagen China and China Trading Center For Automobile Import provided 8 Touaregs and guaranteed the whole journey smooth with the perfect cross-country function.
The observation group started from Chengdu to Lhasa via Dadu River, Gongga Snow-mountain, Jinsha River, Nujiang River and Lancang River about 2442km long.
The theme of its activity is Caring for Hope Schools and Tying Tibet with Feeling.
They donated money to Ruwei Town Primary School and Chayu County, conveyed greetings to the builders of Tibet Railway, held forum about how to support the Tibet construction and sent Touareg cars to Tibet Juveniles Fund. They put stress on Tibet social economic developing situation and enjoyed its national conditions and local customs, inquiring into the opportunities of co-operation between the Central Enterprises and Tibet area.
Crossing the myriads of crags and torrents, they arrived in Lhasa on 4th May at last.
It is called as a journey of caring, constructing, hoping and trading by the public.
