Day 1 Peking-Chengdu stay at Chengdu (4-star)
Meet at airport then check in Chengdu Hotel.
Day 2 Full day tour in Chengdu stay at Chengdu (4-star)
Drive to Duhu¡¯s Cottage where the great poet Duhu had stayed in Chengdu in Tang Dynasty in the morning, then go back to hotel to have a rest and visit Wuhou Temple to view Three Kingdoms culture and visit the ancient Qintai road. After dinner, enjoy Sichuan opera.
Day 3
After breakfast, drive to visit Luodai ancient town with lots of ruins, old-style constructions and folk stories.
Day 4 Chengdu- Xindu Bridge (about 364km) stay at Xindu Bridge (Double room with bathroom)
Departure from Chengdu and drive along highway to Rainy City-Ya¡¯an then go along Qingyijiang Canyon and via Erlangshan Tunnel to Luding county to watch Daduhe Canyon and Luding Chain Bridge, where the Red Army fought against the enemy on it. After that, Cross the mountain of highland ¨CMt.Zheduo, en route kangding¡ªthe hometown of love-song. Enter the east of Qinghai¡ªTibet plateau, reach Xingdu Bridge¡ªa heaven of taking pictures.
Day 5 Xindu Bridge-Daocheng (about 355km) stay at Daocheng (3-star)
Watch the nature scenery in Xindu Bridge after breakfast, then cross over Mt.Gaoershi, Mt.Jianziwan, Mt.Kazila, Mt.Haizi and via Yajiang county, Litang county, Haizishan Reserve get to Daocheng county. Bathing in Rubuchaka Hot Spring after dinner.
Day 6 Daocheng- Yading village (about 110km) stay at Yading ( double room with bathroom)
Drive to charming Shangri-la(Yading) this morning, view Chitu River, Tibetan Village, Gongling Temple and ¡°a park of ten thousand poplars¡±. It takes 3 hours to get Longlong dam by drive. A horse riding ascending to Chonggu mountain is available (you have to afford the expense). Then ride toward Zhumalacuo Lake (The pearl see) or you can arrange the tour above on the next day. Visit the sacred Mt.Xiannairi(6023m),Or have a rest for acclimatization in highland. Overnight at the wooden encampment.
Day 7 Yading village - Daocheng- Litang (about 248km) stay at Litang (double room with bathroom)
After breakfast, riding up the mountain, heading for Luorong cow pasture (you have to pay riding fee: 140yuan per person), pilgrimage Zhuomalacuo lake (the pearl lake), overlook sacred Mt.Xiannairi, Mt.Yangmaiyong, Mt.Xialuoduoji and watch plateau flowers, forest, glacier, rivers and animals. Go to Litang in the evening.
Day 8 Litang- Mangkang (about 272km) stay at Mangkang (double room with bathroom)
Drive to Mt,Haizi around lots of small lakes, then enter a valley and down to Batang Town. After that, go through Jinsha River to the first town of Tibet on this trip-Mangkang, famous for Tibetan opera, dancing and apples.
Day 9 Mangkang- Zuogong (about 158km) stay at Zuogong (double room with bathroom)
Departure from Mandkang, first go through Lanchang Jiang River and cross over the highest mountain on Sichuan-Tibet Way¡ªMt.Dongda(5008 m above sea level). Overlook Lancang Jiang and Sichuan-Tibet Way then drive to Zuogong.
Day 10 Zuogong- Paksho (about 201km) stay at Paksho (double room with bathroom)
Depart Zuogong to Bangda(4400)¡ªa place where south line and north line meet. Access to Chamdo in the north, Nyingtri and Lhasa in the west, Bangda is a crucial traffic pivotal.The only airport in east Tibet, a civil airport with the highest attitude in the world is located in the Bangda grassland. Farewell to grassland, cross over the most breathtaking Mt. Nujiang (4839m),arrive in Paksho via prominent 99 curves, down to the river side of Nujiang. The difference of altitude is nearly 2500m high.
Day 11 Paksho - Bomi (about 219km) stay at Bomi (Double room with bathroom)
Depart Paksho to Bomi, En route Ranwu valley--glacier zones. With huge glacier on both side, our car cross through the glacier fissure. Ranwu valley (3850m) is a predominate highland glacier lake; it covered a area of 22 square km. Then go to Bomi town, Regard as ¡°the litter Switzerland of Tibet¡±, the beautiful small town is where east Mt.Hymalaya located, it is embraces by snow peak around.
Day 12 Bomi- Bayi (about 235km) stay at Bayi ( 4-star )
Depart Bomi to Bayi, drive through the primitive forest via Pai long¡ªthe road condition is a real brutish. After pass this section , enter Luklang, the sea of forest and cross Mt.Sejila(4702m),--famous for the sea of azalea, its also one of the best place to watch the peak of Nanjiabawa. Cross over Mt.Sejila, down to Nyingtri city. On the way can take a look at the giant cypress of Bajie County, which is regarded as ¡°the cypress king of the world¡±
Day 13 Bayi- Lhasa (about 401km) stay at Lhasa ( 4-star )
Depart Bayi County, one the way, appreciate the fine scenery of Nixiang river (in legendary, the river was a collection of the goodness¡¯ tear).Pass the Gongbu river, drive another 44km, arrive Basum Tso (Conggo Lake)¡ªa famous sacred lake of the Ningmapa Sect, which means green and clear water in Tibetan. then back to main stem of Sichuan&Tibet Road., drive along the Lhasa valley to Taktse. After pass Taktse the Potala Palace immediately jumps into your eye, the holy city¡ªLhasa is not far away.
Day 14 Full day tour in Lhasa stay at Lhasa ( 4-star )
After breakfast, Visit the highest palace, a winter residence of Dalai Lama ¨CPotala Palace .It was built by Songzanganbu in 7th century, for the sake of his wife, Princess WenCheng. It then became the residence of later Dalai Lama. After lunch, visit Jokhang temple¡ªthe ancient relic of Tubo period. Then tour Tibetan artistic market, the most ancient street in Tibet --- Bharkor Street. take photos at nightfall
Day 15 Lhasa- Nagqu (290km) stay at Damxung (hostal)
Drive 90km to Yangpachen to visit hot geyser then go along Tanggula mountain chain and get to Damxung to have lunch. After that, go to view the Tibetan Buddhism holy lake-Namtso Lake, which is the greatest lake in Tibet.
Day 16 Damxung- Nagqu-Yangtze River¡¯Source¨CTogton He(568km)stay at Togtonhe reception station
Drive along North-Tibet Grassland to Nagqu then go through Qiangtang Grassland and the last town in Tibet-Amdo to get in Qinghai Province. After that, cross over Tanggula mountain chain and arrive in the Yangtze River¡¯ Source-Togton He River(4900m above sea level)
Day 17 Togton He-Golmud (419km) stay at Golmud ( 2-star)
Drive along Kunlun Shan (NTS) and via Fenghuo Shankou get to Suonandaji Tibetan antelope protection station, then get in Hoh Xil to view Tibetan antelope and Tibetan wild donkey. Next, cross over Kunlun Shankou and go along Golmud He, arrive in Golmud.
Day 18 Golmud- Dunhuang(525km) stay at Dunhuang(4-star)
Go through Danghe reservoir and Chaerhan Lake to Big and Small Cai Dan in the morning then get in Gansu Province, next cross over Dangjin Shankou get to Aksay. And then go on driving to Dunhuang to have lunch. After that, go to visit Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes and visit Mingshashan before evening.
Day 19 Dunhuang- Jiayuguan (469km) stay on train
Drive to view Anxi ancient county and ¡° Demon Town¡± in Anxi Extreme Arid Widerness. Then go to visit Jiayuguan, which was first built in 1372. After that, go to Lanzhou by train at night.
Day 20 Jiayuguan- Lanzhou- Xi¡¯an stay at Xian (4-star)
Meet at train station at 7:00, after breakfast fly to Xi¡¯an then have a rest in hotel. After that, view the largest Tang culture theme park and the biggest movie on water screen in Asia and enjoy the grand song and dance performance¡ªTangle Palace (400yuan/p.p). Day 22 Xi¡¯an ¨CChengdu stay at Chengdu(4-star)
Visit Ancient City Wall, Ci¡¯en Temple, The Big Wild Goose Padoga, Shaanxi History and the Bell-drum Tower Square. After that, fly to Peking from Xianyang international airport.
